Admission and Course:

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is an undergraduate professional degree course that involves the science of physical movement and prevent disabilities and diseases, dysfunctions among various age groups.

Duration- 4 years with 6 months internship

Eligibility criteria- +2 with 50 % passing marks with medical subjects (PCB).

Fees Structure- According to Baba Farid university of Health Sciences

Student Activities- students participate in various academic and extra-curricular activities i.e.Our students are regularly involved in sports activities eg Badminton matches, Basketball matches in and off campus. Students get the hands on exposure and practical demonstration of the various physiotherapy Techniques in well equipped labortaries . Direct learning by interacting with the patients in opd and wards. They are regularly attending CME’S and workshops organized by Gian Sagar College of Physiotherapy and other institutions. They are participating in poster making competition, Quiz competitions organized by Physiotherapy Association.


Overview Of Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy can be defined as a treatment method that focuses on the science of movement and helps to restore, maintain and maximize their physical strength, function, motion and overall well-being by addressing the underlying physical issues

Physiotherapists focus on both prevention and rehabilitation. Physiotherapist develop customized programs designed to restore as much as possible their functional ability and movement. They are trained to help patients at all stages of life- from infant to old age.

The scope of Physiotherapy in various fields: Orthopaedics, neurology, geriatric, paedetrics, cardiopulmonary, Hand rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, gynaecological rehabilitation. The wide range of physiotherapy across medical departments is expanding into new areas such as oncology
